 Vision Christian College is a distance education program. We will, we can, and we do ship our material to you anywhere in the world. We deliver through the regular mail services, express mail or courier, by internet or any means to get our material to you effectively, quickly, economically and securely The mail option is ideal for those students who do not have access to the Internet or who prefer to work by distance education through the mail service and are unable or do not wish to attend a traditional college. Using this method we send you a bound study book, all of the assessment options for all of our programs so that you can study in your own place at your own pace. We have kept the process deliberately simple to ensure that you as a student can concentrate on learning and being equipped rather tha processes that have a tendency to slow us down with detail.
The Process
To earn an award a student must first enrol into the College, the first level is the Certificate in Biblical Studies. Upon completion of one level of studies the student may enrol into the next award. There are four award levels, Certificate, Associate, Diploma of Ministry and Diploma of Theology. The student is eligible to enter into the bachelors and degree programs offered by Vision International University which is also administered through the Internet Bible College
If eligible the student may request advance standing for prior studies or Life (Ministry skills) Credits.
Upon receipt of payment the student will be sent, and be required to complete, their first subject.
Upon completion of their assessment the student submits their test papers to the College where it will be assessed as soon as possible, and the results returned to the student so that they may order the next subject from the study options.
The student is free to select their own subjects thus undertaking courses that minister to their needs or circumstances at any given time, or, if they prefer they may request an individualized curriculum and undertake a guided course of study. Should a student request a curriculum they may later, without any penalty choose to move from their curriculum to select any other subject of their own choice.
Following completion of their first subject the student shall select one subject from each of the Streams of Study from the Curriculum page until such time as the student has accumulated sufficient points to earn their desired award. Those streams are: Biblical Studies, Church Studies, Counselling Studies*, Christian Life, Doctrinal Studies and Missions Studies.
*Please note: Counselling studies can only be undertaken as a part of the counselling course and not until a student has completed the Diploma in Ministry or equivalent. The purpose of this condition is to ensure that a student who desires to undertake the Diploma in Counselling has sufficient and balanced understanding of the "Word of God" prior to undertaking this specialized course of study. |
