 Vision Christian College is a Credit Points based Bible College, that is to say that each subject satisfactorily completed is worth 3 credit points.
To earn an award a student must enrol into the College. They will typically begining with the Certificate in Biblical Studies and progress towards the Diploma of Theology Our program is built around a Credit Points system rather than a fixed curriculum allowing us to offer greater flexibility of study to the student. We ensure a balance of study through our Study Streams.
This means that students earn credit points by completing a subject and by accumulating credit point’s student gains an award. Each subject is worth 3 credits.
Vision Christian College offers over 100 subjects, these are divided into Study Streams. The Study Streams are Foundational studies, Biblical studies, Church studies, Christian Life studies, Counselling studies, Doctrine studies, Missions studies, and General Education studies
The students can self select a subject, one at a time, from each stream in turn. This process encourages self selection while maintaining balance. The student selects subjects that are of greater interest or relevance to them, or their ministry needs, rather than satisfying an external curriculum.
The depth and breadth of the range of subjects provide a balanced form of study.
In order to gain an award (Certificate to Diploma in Biblical Theology) a student must successfully earn 30 credit points for each award. This is typically done by the successful completion of 10 subjects of the student’s choice and their assessment requirements from our curriculum. Students can add to their credits for each subject by completing an optional essay (1 credit), or an optional Student Study Guide (2 credits) see our page on credit points.
Recognised awards are:
• Certificate in Biblical Studies: 30 Points
• Associate in Biblical Studies: Plus 30 credit points (total 60 credit points)
• Diploma of Ministry: Plus 30 credit points (total 90 credit points)
• Diploma of Theology: Plus 30 credit points (total 120 credit points)
The Recognized course is best suited to those students who:
• Desire only biblical or theological studies
• Do not require “Vocational Studies”
• Do not require or are not eligible for support from Austudy or Abstudy or Youth Allowances
• Do not require guaranteed recognition for further study in TAFE or University.
• Are seeking further Theological Doctrinal study to support your ministry in the "Word of God"
