 The work of missions is not finished. The methods change and the influence we can have changes but the work of missions does not change. Multiplied millions have not heard the Gospel and are in bondage. Jesus' great commission applies to us and we are excited with the the missions options we are able to offer.
Then there is the "New Mission-field". In nations of the world that have been Christian in the past we are seeing the rise of a "post Christian" era and need to reach the once evangelised nations of the world Vision Christian College accepts missions as a part of our responsibility to teach the "Whole Word to The Whole World". We have an exciting missions program. We do go ourselves personally, but more importantly we prepare others to go. In addition we stand alongside the missionary in teaching and in the provision of bible college material making it possible for national men and women to teach their peers in their own local situation.
No other endeavour has such a lasting positive effect on human beings as the word of God. Nothing can change individual lives, communities or people groups, even a whole nations like the word of God. The word of God, empowered by the Spirit of God reaches deep into the human soul and changes us, dramatically. Souls are saved. bodies healed, deliverance brought to tormented individuals, lives given hope and a future, governments changed and all by the word of God.
Yet as Paul declared: "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!" Rom 10:14-15 NASB
We are in the business of training men and women for the work of the ministry, and thanks to modern technology we are able to reach out to men and women in countries where the gospel is forbidden and still teach. No boundaries stop us, no time frame or legal system, nothing can stand between us and our call to take and to teach the "Whole Word to The Whole World".
You can be trained to go, and go to the field, well equipped for service or perhaps you cannot go, but now instead of sending another in your place you can send the teaching and training. Through the ministry of Vision Christian College you can sponsor a student or even am entire college full of students through our missions program. The program takes two basic thrusts, that of supporting what we call our "Missions Students " and our "Mission Bible College " program.
To maintain our effort we do need help. Your help.
