Vision Christian College

Vision Christian College is a Credit Points based Bible College, that is to say that each subject satisfactorily completed is worth 3 credit points.

To earn an award a student must enrol into the College. They will typically begining with the Certificate in Biblical Studies and progress towards the Diploma of Theology

Our program is built around a Credit Points system rather than a fixed curriculum allowing us to offer greater flexibility of study to the student.  We ensure a balance of study through our Study Streams.

This means that students earn credit points by completing a subject and by accumulating credit point’s student gains an award. Each subject is worth 3 credits.

General Education Studies

This Study Stream, although nominated as General Education have a strong Christian and biblical emphasis. They are required to demonstrate the student's breadth of knowledge, critical and creative thinking skills.

Each each of these subjects is presented and undertaken from a Christian perspective.  Those students who wish to go on to the Bachelor of Theology Completion program will be required to complete 30 credit hours or (10 subjects) of General Education studies in the areas of Humanities, Fine Arts, Social and Behavioural Science, Natural Science and Mathematics, and computer skills. Although there is a Christian emphasis to these subjects they meet the degree requirements and do so from a Christian Perspective.

Missions Studies 

This Study Stream examines issues in missions, evangelism, church planting and growth and fulfilling the great commission.

From reaching your family member to your next door neighbour or impacting the local community, your nation or ministering to those in another country, the work is that of the missionary - the evangelist - the responsible Christian.

Foundational Studies

Foundational studies are just that, the foundational truths upon which you will be able to build your Christian Life.

These are an introduction to Salvation, Healing, the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, the development of a healthy prayer life and so much more are examined in detail.

You may choose to begin your studies in another subject but we do recommend that you start with one of these three.

Through these studies the student embarks on a journey of discovery into the Word of God. A journey that will help to establish Christian lifestyle. Truths that will liberate and strengthen. Truths that will encourage and nurture. Truths that will bring discipline and discipleship to the student.

Doctrine

The word Doctrine simply means "A Teaching". These are amongst the finest that you will find will enthral, encourage and challenge you as you learn to apply these faith building and life changing doctrines to your life. 

Our philosophy is that of Biblical theology not systematic Theology.  That is to say we present what the bible has to say rather than a systematic method to establish a position.  Where the BIble is silent, we are silent, where the Bible presents options we present options.

Christian Counselling 

We offer one of the most effective counselling programs available through distance education thanks the most excellent set of studies provided by some of the finest Christian Counsellors.

Although a subject from the counselling stream may be undertaken as a stand alone subject we do discourage students from accessing them until they are ready to undertake a "Diploma of Theology - Christian Counselling" program. The prerequisite is the "Diploma of Ministry from any Vision College or equivalent institution.
