Vision Christian College

A Vision Christian College Resource Centre operates as a local church or community based Bible college. 

Students of a Resource Centre differ in two aspects from Distance education students.  Firstly in that they have access to lecture style studies that are determined by the local ministry.  These lectures may be in the form of weekly evening lectures or on a once a month weekend seminar style of ministry.

Secondly they differ in that the subjects undertaken are selected by the Resource Centre from the Vision curriculum.  Students have little control over the subjects undertaken.  This is an ideal option for a church or ministry that wants to train and develop its memberts for the purpose of the local ministry and ministry to the wider community.

All students at a Resource Centres are considered Distance Learning students of the Vision Christian College as well as students of the local college.

Not all students can cope with distance education.  Many students need the benefit of a student body where they will develop relationships that will last for many years to come. 

The benefit of support from fellow students, the sense of competition and peer group pressure that helps some to achieve is make available at the Resource Centre.

We recognise the need, so instead of taking students away from the local church we help to encourage that camaraderie right there in the local church by setting up the Resource Centre.

All the benefits of the seminary with the strength and vitality of the local church and its ministry opportunities are made available to the students.

Every Pastor realises the responsibility to "train and equip the saints for the work of the ministry".  

For many of us the task is greater than we are able:  Pastoring our church, counselling, preaching, evangelising, overseeing the children's ministry, men's ministry, the ladies ministry, working with youth and  the music team all of which demands so much, even when you can properly delegate. 

Who has the time or ability to prepare a sound effective bible college training program that our people can learn from and that will be recognised beyond the boundaries of our own church group?

Vision Christian College was birthed to meet this very need;  to provide a Bible College program of excellence, one that can support the local Church, offer legitimate recognition with the minimal possible interference to the local Church.
